Shipping Coordinator Prepares, schedules and coordinates outgoing shipments, obtaining freight quotes, compiling required shipment data, inspecting shipment packaging and staging, tracking pickup and delivery, and maintaining related documentation. Duties/Responsibilities: Calculates data required for shipments, e.g. weight, pallets, cartons, cubes Secures freight quotes from designated carriers Coordinates with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickup of goods Generates accurate bills of lading for outbound freight Assures orders and shipping quantities match; assists in resolving any discrepancies, identifying root cause and corrective action Facilitates efficient and accurate staging prior to loading Directs shipping handler’s activities and tasks on the shipping dock; ensures drivers department with appropriate paperwork Confirms physical shipment of goods and initiates tracking Records and monitors shipments Initiates, answers, and documents tracer inquiries, when requested, via email, phone and/or fax Reports damages and discrepancies or accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes Completes management reports, as needed Assist in other work areas, as needed, during absences/shortages of staff Required Skills/Abilities: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Good verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to read and interpret documents Ability to perform duties in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment to meet scheduling and shipping deadlines Comfortable working in a team environment Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Able to handle working on and completing projects within tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism Education and Experience: 1-2 years’ experience with shipping and/or administrative office support High School diploma or GED required Bi-lingual Spanish a plus Monday-Thursday 8am-5:30pm $15.00 Mesquite, TX Please send resumes to jorozco@elitestaffinginc.com and eliteolivebranch@elitestaffinginc.com All employees of Elite Staffing must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
