PRIMARY FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Project SEARCH program which includes but is not limited to supervising, training and problem-solving issues related to the interns and working diligently to ensure the successful completion of the program for each intern. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Although each position has its own unique duties and responsibilities, the following listing applies to every employee of North Jersey Friendship House, Inc.:Works towards the accomplishment of department/Agency goalsMaintains confidentiality and immediately reports to management breaches in confidentialityPractices job requirements on an accurate, timely and regular basisObserves and maintains appropriate professional boundaries with members, co-workers and supervisorsAttends all scheduled meetings as assignedMeets relevant continuing educational/training requirementsCompletes all required documentation/paperwork accurately and within established time frames. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides direct supervision to assigned employees in order to enhance their job skill set.Provides on-going support to employees to assure completion of job responsibilitiesCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency's policies, applicable laws and governmental regulatory agenciesReviews employees' responsibilities to determine time frame and scope of authority, reviews employees' requirements and allotments of available resourcesEvaluates employees' productivity and documentation of service deliveryResponsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: Participates in recruitment, screening and orientation of all Project SEARCH internsPerforms travel training with interns when utilizing public transportationDevelops Project Search internship rotationsWorks with business liaison, and department managers to develop internship sites, write job descriptions, task lists, job analysis, and plan for necessary modifications for the internships and competitive jobs.Teaches the essential tasks/duties/core skills of the job to the internProvide individual support depending on each intern and job task needs.Learns the internship duties and make modification (label cabinets, simply written instructions, etc.) necessary to allow the student to successfully complete the job.Attends job orientation with the intern and clarifies information with the intern as necessaryBuilds natural supports and reduce the amount of time spent with each intern as core skills are developedAssess student skills and gather baseline dataSchedules and runs Project Search team and individual intern employment planning meetingsCompletes necessary evaluations, reports and other documentation.Keeps Electronic Health Record up to date on interns' progress.Ensures accurate billing is completed on a weekly basisAbides by and ensures all staff abides by DDD regulations at all timesCompletes all required (DDD and Relias) trainings in a timely manner REQUIREMENTSA Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in the Human Services field and a minimum three (3) years of related experience. A valid driver's license with clean record.
