OverviewRapiscan, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a Sr Program Financial Analyst, based out of Billerica, MA.
Rapiscan Systems, an OSI Systems, Inc. company, designs, manufactures and markets security and inspection systems worldwide. Our products are used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs and other contraband. Rapiscan Systems security and inspection devices can be found in a wide range of locations such as airports, border crossings, railway stations, seaports and terminals, government and military installations, and nuclear facilities.
Senior Program Finance / Cost Analyst is expected to establish him/herself as a business partner to the program management team to steer programs to their targeted financial goals (e.g. revenue, profitability, cash flow, etc.). The Senior PFA accomplishes this by applying a deep understanding of each program’s economics and profitability drivers, translating them into operational actions and proactively advising the PM and Senior Management team on how to influence critical operational levers in order to positively impact program financials. This role will support various programs/projects across our Rapiscan companies.
Responsibilities- Lead the project accounting function including Estimate at Completion (EAC) process.
- Prepare, analyze and review program baselines, actuals and EAC, with a focus on variance analysis at a detailed level, with appropriate management levels. Summarize results and communicate business impacts to Finance and Management teams.
- Prepare budgets and baseline new revenue or R&D programs in accordance with Company policies
- Support monthly forecast process through preparation of accurate product line sales and gross margin forecasts, at program level
- Responsible for the analysis of monthly product line financials with a focus on gross margin accuracy
- Support contracts by providing information for customer inquiries such as program actuals or expenditures profiles
- Support and maintenance of various Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements
- Ensure financial compliance and cost controls across various US Government and commercial contracts
- This role will require working on a program team in direct support of Program Management requirements. The candidate must be willing to communicate, ask questions and work with other functional organizations to accomplish team objectives. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing requirements. Ability to learn processes quickly and apply knowledge to unique situations.

QualificationsThe main success factors of this role include strong business acumen, understanding program operations and their implications for financial performance, and strong analytical and consulting skills.
- BA in Finance or Accounting
- 8+ years of program accounting / finance experience with a focus on the preparation of Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC)
- Extensive knowledge of financial costing/pricing, reporting, and invoicing requirements for multiple types of US Government contract vehicles (Time & Materials, Cost Plus Fixed-Fee, Firm-Fixed Price, hybrid)
- Knowledge of key financial systems and tools (Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Moderate level of progressive Finance roles with strong analytical and partnering track record
- Possess strong interpersonal awareness in order to work with strong personalities multiple levels of the organization
- Strong written and verbal skills including demonstrated ability to succinctly present complex information to management
- Must be flexible and willing to deal with a wide range of work assignments
- Ability to work through problems with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize concurrent requirements and accommodate numerous stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience cross-training or supervising personnel a plus
