Life Sciences Research Program Coordinator

Job Summary

The Life Sciences Research Program Coordinator of the iPERT program will work in support of a National Institute of Health funded project that trains and mentors faculty in a fungal-focused curriculum for undergraduate students. This position is time limited and 100% sponsored-funded; therefore, continued employment is contingent upon availability of grant or contract funding.

Responsibilities

Work with the program's director to facilitate communication between program leadership and trainees Organize and run all virtual meetings of trainees Assist in the recruitment of trainees Assist in budget planning and tracking, monitoring expenses, review budget reports, and provide insights to support cost-effective decision-making Prepare and ship laboratory kits to trainees Assist with the development and oversight of the program's website and social media accounts to engage the target audience Collaborate with web designers or developers as needed to enhance website functionality and aesthetics

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or related field Required Experience Science lab experience (in research or course setting)

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications Master's Degree in Biological Sciences or related field by start of the position Preferred Experience Biology education research or project Microbiology lab experience One (1) year of post-bachelor degree research experience (i.e., may be substituted for graduate experience in a research-related field)

Proposed Salary

$26.44 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
