Program Manager

Duration- 12 months for now

Location Details: -Location: 1st Choice is Seattle. The team is primarily based in Seattle and San Fran. 3x per week onsite. This position is an opportunity to be part of the Engagement Experiences and Platforms organization within DE&E Technology. We collect real-time user behavior and tastes to power personally-tailored experiences, across all brands. Like a nervous system, we assemble actions and sensory information and transmit signals to and from different parts of the service. The Senior Technical Program Manager role is a key program position that will drive efficiency and coordination to support the Events & Signals Platform team that serves a unique role in decoupling backend services from incoming client signals and providing back-end teams with reliable, enriched, targeted, higher-order event streams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical program management support to the Events & Signals Platform
  • engineering team and assist where needed in overall program coordination throughout
  • the Engagement Experiences and Platforms organization.
  • Manage three technical teams, serve in scrum ceremonies, and provide release support
  • as needed.
  • Lead planning meetings, scrum ceremonies and cross functional coordination.
  • Proactively work with product management and other project stakeholders to prioritize
  • initiatives, define project scope and objectives, understand requirements, and effectively
  • communicate requirements to engineering teams to drive projects forward.
  • Work with engineering teams and leadership to establish processes that will ensure
  • success on high priority business initiatives and improve efficiency.
  • Manage program reporting for engineering efforts.
  • Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate project risks to internal and
  • external partners.
  • Ensure Jira hygiene for all Events & Signals Platform initiatives including the recording
  • and tagging of tickets to the appropriate business initiatives and releases.
  • Create and maintain Jira reports, dashboards, burndowns, and track velocity.
  • Be a counterpart to the Events & Signals Platform engineering managers and team
  • members.
  • Demonstrate technical adeptness in order to understand and effectively converse in the
  • Events & Signals Platform domain.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders and leverage these to
  • develop an understanding of their short-term and long-term goals and priorities in order
  • to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Manage schedules and capacity planning to ensure the team is able to deliver within
  • project scope and duration alongside other existing priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Have extensive experience in Technical Project/Program Management, with 8+ years of
  • experience in the software industry.
  • Have experience in managing multiple technical teams, scrum teams, software
  • development lifecycle delivery, and release management of back-end service and
  • consumer-facing software.
  • Have experience executing Agile and other software development methodologies.
  • Have extensive experience with industry-standard project management tools such as
  • JIRA and Confluence to generate reports, dashboards, burndowns, and track velocity.
  • Excel in leading effective meetings, planning, documenting decisions and follow up.
  • Can effectively manage project tracking and reporting at all levels within the company.
  • Display initiative, take a proactive approach, and be able to start the conversation and
  • guide other program leads in process development. Consistently evaluating processes
  • and seeking ways to improve at every iteration.
  • Have developed essential soft skills including meeting facilitation, communication,
  • teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, problem solving, critical thinking, & conflict
  • resolution.
  • Learn quickly and enthusiastically, particularly about technical systems and issues.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and deliver through ambiguity.

Required Education: Bachelors Degree
