Job description

Senior Technical Program Manager

Payrate: $90.00 - $92.98/hr. Company is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to spearhead a pivotal finance transformation initiative focusing on Teradata deprecation. This role involves collaborating with Finance, Finance Technology, and cross-organization engineering teams to document and transition finance use cases from Teradata and current transactional databases to a future-state platform. The ideal candidate will bring structure to ambiguity, translate business needs into technical delivery plans, and drive alignment across multiple teams and workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end program delivery for the Teradata deprecation effort across multiple finance domains, teams, and workstreams.
  • Drive discovery to identify and document finance use cases, data dependencies, interfaces, reports, controls, and operational processes currently supported by Teradata and related transactional systems.
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to validate business requirements, criticality, timing, and success criteria for each use case.
  • Work closely with FinTech and engineering teams to ensure each finance use case is assessed, solutioned, prioritized, and migrated to the target platform.
  • Build and maintain integrated program plans, milestones, dependencies, decisions, risks, and issue management mechanisms across the full migration lifecycle.
  • Create clear executive-ready reporting that communicates progress, risks, tradeoffs, decisions, and cross-team dependencies.
  • Facilitate alignment across business, product, architecture, data, and engineering partners to resolve ambiguity and accelerate delivery.
  • Translate technical constraints and architectural decisions into clear business impacts for finance and leadership stakeholders.
  • Establish governance, working cadences, and decision forums that improve visibility, accountability, and delivery predictability.
  • Proactively identify blockers, risks, and gaps in readiness, and drive mitigation plans through influence and structured escalation.
  • Support change readiness by helping teams prepare for process, reporting, and platform transitions as legacy capabilities are retired.
  • Promote durable delivery practices, documentation standards, and operational readiness to ensure successful cutover and long-term supportability.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in technical program management, program management, or related delivery leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading complex enterprise data, platform, migration, or deprecation programs across multiple teams.
  • Experience partnering with finance, accounting, or enterprise business functions on system, reporting, or data transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of program governance, dependency management, risk management, and executive communications.
  • Experience working with engineering and architecture teams on platform modernization, data movement, or legacy system retirement efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes across cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience with agile delivery methodologies and tools used for planning, reporting, and execution.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Skills

  • Experience with finance technology ecosystems, enterprise data platforms, or ERP-adjacent environments.
  • Familiarity with Teradata, legacy data warehouse migrations, or data modernization programs.
  • Experience documenting business processes, controls, reporting needs, and system dependencies in regulated or audit-sensitive environments.
  • Experience supporting platform transitions that require strong coordination across finance, technology, and data teams.
  • Comfort working through discovery-heavy programs where requirements, ownership, and solution paths evolve over time.
