Job description

Program Manager

Amca is building America's new industrial base. Since the 1990s, our ability to build new aviation and military systems and maintain the ones we already have has eroded. Today, the gap between what the nation needs to produce and what it is capable of producing is the largest it has been in generations.

To help close that gap, Amca rapidly develops and manufactures new critical components and subsystems required to build and sustain the planes, military vehicles, and core infrastructure America needs. Today, we operate seven factories nationwide, including our advanced prototyping and testing headquarters in El Segundo, and deliver avionics, hydraulic, and electrical components for platforms such as the F-35, F-16, F/A-18, 737MAX, 787, A320neo, A321, Mk-48, and M1 Abrams.

Overview

You will be the extreme owner for identifying and orchestrating business opportunities with our customers. This role provides end-to-end project ownership throughout the value-stream, including market analysis, pricing, contract evaluation, proposal generation, and management of customer communication.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify product, contract, and market-expansion opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit product proposals to customers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Work with internal engineering teams and customer representatives to manage the full lifecycle of proposal from identification to approval.
  • Maintain organized records of all contract correspondence, modifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers in commercial and government organizations.
  • Develop market intelligence briefs to inform the M&A team on acquisition targets in line with strategic business goals.
  • Draft policy memos, white papers, and briefing materials in support of Amca's strategic business initiatives.
  • Become a subject-matter expert in various government and commercial industry standards and regulations pertinent to Amca's business goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, economics, engineering, public policy, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, government contracting, or other communication-intensive, high-stakes professional environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of high performance in academic, professional, or extracurricular settings.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce polished, executive-level deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with competing deadlines.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with commercial aviation acquisition and supply chain processes
  • MBA, JD, or similar advanced degree in fields with complex contractual and functional requirements
  • Interested in aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing.

Annual Salary Range

$100,000 - $150,000 USD
