This position is an opportunity to be part of the Engagement Experiences and Platforms organization within DE&E Technology. We collect real-time user behavior and tastes to power personally-tailored experiences, across all brands. Like a nervous system, we assemble actions and sensory information and transmit signals to and from different parts of the service. The Senior Technical Program Manager role is a key program position that will drive efficiency and coordination to support the Events & Signals Platform team that serves a unique role in decoupling backend services from incoming client signals and providing back-end teams with reliable, enriched, targeted, higher-order event streams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical program management support to the Events & Signals Platform engineering team and assist where needed in overall program coordination throughout the Engagement Experiences and Platforms organization.
  • Manage three technical teams, serve in scrum ceremonies, and provide release support as needed.
  • Lead planning meetings, scrum ceremonies and cross functional coordination.
  • Proactively work with product management and other project stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, define project scope and objectives, understand requirements, and effectively communicate requirements to engineering teams to drive projects forward.
  • Work with engineering teams and leadership to establish processes that will ensure success on high priority business initiatives and improve efficiency.
  • Manage program reporting for engineering efforts.
  • Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate project risks to internal and external partners.
  • Ensure Jira hygiene for all Events & Signals Platform initiatives including the recording and tagging of tickets to the appropriate business initiatives and releases.
  • Create and maintain Jira reports, dashboards, burndowns, and track velocity.
  • Be a counterpart to the Events & Signals Platform engineering managers and team members.
  • Demonstrate technical adeptness in order to understand and effectively converse in the Events & Signals Platform domain.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders and leverage these to develop an understanding of their short-term and long-term goals and priorities in order to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Manage schedules and capacity planning to ensure the team is able to deliver within project scope and duration alongside other existing priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Have extensive experience in Technical Project/Program Management, with 8+ years of experience in the software industry.
  • Have experience in managing multiple technical teams, scrum teams, software development lifecycle delivery, and release management of back-end service and consumer-facing software.
  • Have experience executing Agile and other software development methodologies.
  • Have extensive experience with industry-standard project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence to generate reports, dashboards, burndowns, and track velocity.
  • Excel in leading effective meetings, planning, documenting decisions and follow up.
  • Can effectively manage project tracking and reporting at all levels within the company.
  • Display initiative, take a proactive approach, and be able to start the conversation and guide other program leads in process development. Consistently evaluating processes and seeking ways to improve at every iteration.
  • Have developed essential soft skills including meeting facilitation, communication, teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, problem solving, critical thinking, & conflict resolution.
  • Learn quickly and enthusiastically, particularly about technical systems and issues.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and deliver through ambiguity.
