Job description

Senior Program Manager

SciTec, a wholly owned subsidiary of Firefly Aerospace, is a dynamic non-traditional defense contractor that delivers advanced technologies in support of U.S. National Security and Defense. For the past forty-five plus years, we have supported Department of Defense customers by developing innovative remote sensing algorithms, tools, and techniques to deliver world-class data exploitation capabilities supporting missile defense; intelligence, surveillance, & reconnaissance; space domain awareness; and aircraft survivability missions.

Important Notice: SciTec exclusively works on U.S. government contracts that require U.S. citizenship for all employees. SciTec cannot sponsor or assume sponsorship of employee work visas of any type. Further, U.S. citizenship is a requirement to obtain and keep a security clearance. Applicants that do not meet these requirements will not be considered.

SciTec is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead and oversee execution of complex, mission-critical software systems within a defense environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that end-to-end design, development, system integration, verification, and validation efforts are executed with rigor, aligned to program objectives, and delivered on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing software-intensive defense programs, with the ability to coordinate across technical teams, customers, primes, and subcontractors; manage cost, schedule, and risk; and drive execution in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of design, development, integration and test activities across the program lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including budget, schedule, resources, and dependencies
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks
  • Drive change management activities, including analysis of impacts to scope, schedule, and cost
  • Drive growth through ECP proposals and negotiations
  • Support technical leadership in requirements management, roadmap alignment, and execution planning
  • Prepare and deliver program status reports, translating technical progress into actionable insights for leadership and customers
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including government customers, subcontractors, and internal leadership
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and program execution quality
  • Support program reviews, demonstrations, and external engagements
  • Oversee EVMS activities, ensuring compliance with earned value requirements and accurate performance measurement
  • Lead CSDR management, including planning, coordination, and delivery of required cost and software data reporting artifacts
  • Manage overall program financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-control initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
