This exciting career opportunity is for a proven engineering professional to serve as a technical and relationship liaison. The successful candidate will oversee a well established multi disciplinary group (approximately 25 total) of engineers, designers and technicians. This individual reports to the Director of Engineering and will be responsible for the relationship with a key client. The position requires a strong technical background in substation engineering along with a proven managerial track record.

Candidate will be responsible for P&L of key client project work, communication, process creation, team management, and is ultimately responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all project work.

Role will be a hybrid allowable role based out of the Chattanooga, TN office. If located in Knoxville, must be willing to travel down to Chattanooga at least once a week.

Requirements:

  • PE license or PMP certification is required.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve difficult technical and management problems related to engineering projects.
  • Possess aptitude for engineering and design, as well as proposal preparation, estimating, accounting, and scheduling.
  • Strong organizational and process workflow management skills. Adept at modifying and adapting processes and workflows to accomplish team goals efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment both internally and externally.
  • Strong working knowledge of computers and software such as AutoCAD, Vault, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel. Must also possess knowledge of corporate accounting practices and business operations.
  • Willingness to develop, promote and comply with Mesa safety requirements.
  • Reactive to Director/VP work instructions and proactive/reactive to client requests.
  • 8+ years of experience managing projects and/or customer accounts.
