Benefits offered to a full-time direct support professional at IEI (30+ hours per week) include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), HRA, and life insurance. All employees have access to the Employment Assistance Program (EAP).

Wage Info

Program Managers start at a training wage of $24.04 to $27.01 per hour , DOE. The first 90 days of employment and training will be paid at an hourly rate. Once they have completed this step, the employee will transition to salaried-exempt status in the next pay period.

POSITION SUMMARY

Program Managers (PM) are responsible for overseeing operations and services at their assigned program(s) and will provide direct service support as needed. The ideal PM believes in the agency's Vision and Values, has a broad range of skills and talents that empower wellbeing and achievement for all, and brings their own vitality to IEI's Mission. Program Managers must be able to assist the management team in leading improvements and promoting a positive team attitude, and respond effectively to unexpected changes or demands.

QUALIFICATIONS

General

  • Valid Oregon driver’s license for three (3) consecutive years with an insurable record
  • Acceptable state / federal mandated background check (including Protected Service Investigations).
  • 19 years of age or older (for insurance purposes)

Education and Experience :

  • At least two years of experience providing professional support services in the field of Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities
  • At least one year of relevant experience supervising employees (a combination of leadership / supervisory experience and education can be substituted for this requirement)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • General knowledge of Federal and State employment-related laws and regulations
  • Understand ACEs services and expectations.
  • Strong computer skills, including all Google applications, Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) using the English language
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills as needed
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's documentation systems, programs, and software.
  • Provide training in a logical, thoughtful manner that accommodates all learning styles and ensures all team members learn.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
  • Handle multiple detailed duties with a very high level of accuracy.
  • Service-oriented and willing to help out wherever needed
  • Drive agency vehicles and be covered by agency insurance.
  • Be able to work a very flexible schedule with the ability to make last-minute changes in emergent situations.
  • Requirements

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate and ensure quality services (e.g., financial, health, behavioral, and relationship supports) for people assigned to their caseload and the homes in which they reside within applicable Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs), federal laws, and agency policies and procedures.
  • Daily operations and scheduling, ensuring that there is enough staff present to ensure health and safety, as well as a smooth workflow.
  • Lead and supervise the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) (Med-Aid, ACE day program services), at the homes they manage. This includes : creating a welcoming environment where team members feel supported, listened to, and accountable to fulfilling IEI’s Mission.
  • Promote person-centered approaches, ensuring people served by the organization live the life they choose, taking into account what is important to and for them.
  • Ensure ACEs and Individual Support Plan (ISP) goals are being met for people served, and that all appropriate documentation is completed.
  • Ensure the homes and services on your caseload are always prepared and ready for any type of compliance review (e.g., licensing, OSHA) or other visits (e.g., family, case management entity, Ombudsman).
  • Ensuring the home is welcoming and comfortable for the people who live there, their friends, family, and any other guests.
  • Responsible for training and motivating all personnel within the teams you manage. This includes facilitating training, in-services, and addressing performance concerns.
  • Participate in interviewing and selecting eligible DSP applicants.
  • Keep team members up to date on department and organizational objectives. This will be done via regular team meetings, one-on-one communications, distribution of written or electronic communications, and agency communications and meetings.
  • Ensure team member actions align with the individual goals and needs of the people we support, as well as the Mission and Values of IEI.
  • Providing timely and meaningful onboarding for every new team member you supervise : these should be scheduled face-to-face time with each team member you supervise.
  • Complete team member evaluations, including growth goals.
  • Facilitating effective team meetings that include opportunities for team building and strengthening, as well as appreciation of team members.
  • Expected Home Management Responsibility for assigned caseload : This position is expected to provide an opportunity for a stable living environment by promoting and attending to the person’s right to respect and dignity, individual choice and input, and health and safety needs at all times.
  • Individual Support Plan (ISP) preparation, training, support, and documentation.
  • Be prepared for, and participate in, each person’s Oregon Needs Assessment (ONA) and ensure that ONA outcomes are communicated to ensure resources are utilized appropriately.
  • Providing or assisting with the transportation needs of people assigned to support.
  • Ongoing completion of tasks assigned on the PM checklist or other duties expected of the position.
  • Provide agency-wide on-call support. In the agency on-call rotation, the minimum rotation period is every 5 weeks, typically along with another assigned team member. If unable to fulfill a specified date or dates during an on-call rotation, the person assigned the specific on-call is responsible for negotiating and trading with other team members to fill the on-call week.
  • Answer all on-call calls and work collaboratively with other on-call team members to problem-solve emergency calls and physically respond to homes or wherever needed to provide assistance, support, and / or direct care.
  • Carry out the role of DSP (Med-Aid, ACE day program services) and other assigned positions, as needed and required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
