Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN) is seeking a full-time Senior IT Program Manager to join our team in your choice of our Peoria, IL or Chicago, IL facilities. We offer a hybrid work model, with 2 days per week of onsite work, full benefits, PTO, 401k, and more! If you're looking to grow your career within an extremely reputable, stable Fortune 100 company - let's talk!

Position Overview

The Senior IT Program Manager will lead cross-functional project teams responsible for building software solutions that integrate common services across a broad application portfolio and other enterprise systems. This role is critical to ensuring that application integrations are built on modern technologies using industry-leading architecture patterns and security best practices, driving successful adoption across the organization. This is a project/program leadership role for a full lifecycle Project/Program Manager, not a standalone Scrum Master position.

Key Responsibilities

• Own successful completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on-time, within budget, and error-free.

• Manage the planning and execution of project team members across the full project lifecycle.

• Develop and maintain the project charter, communications plan, metrics, reporting, and overall project plan and budget.

• Support project teams from concept through prototype, pilot, implementation, and follow-up stages.

• Build and maintain project management schedules, using professional tools and techniques for reporting, tracking, checklists, and scheduling.

• Lead change management efforts and drive timely, effective decision-making.

• Maintain detailed schedules reflecting affected components, functions, timelines, and cost impacts of changes.

• Partner with team members across multiple functional disciplines and customers to establish completion dates.

• Monitor project progress, proactively communicate issues to affected areas, and ensure appropriate steps are in place to meet schedules.

• Recommend solutions and alternatives when project challenges arise.

• Guide teams through the creation of project charters, including scope alignment and ways of working.

Team & Collaboration

• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams located across the U.S., India, and Slovakia.

• Partner closely with both engineering and technical product owners on each project.

• Manage multiple teams and multifunctional members across business and engineering groups.

• Typically manage 2-3 concurrent projects, with an annual volume of roughly 8-10 projects depending on Agile sprint frequency.

• Work in an environment with challenging to very challenging project complexity.

Requirements

Education & Experience Required

• 4-year college or university degree plus 10+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business) plus 8+ years of relevant experience.

• Resumes should list the month/year each degree was completed.

• 8+ years of direct project management experience working with software engineering teams in an Agile Software Development methodology, alongside business partners and product managers, including full ownership from project inception.

• Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end program management within a cross-functional matrix organization, with the ability to align teams and lead them to consensus.

• Proven experience with project management fundamentals, including project charters, scheduling, and planning through successful completion.

• A stable, progressive work history is preferred, generally reflecting a year or more of tenure per role.

• 2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) and Confluence.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.

• Experience leading large-scale organizational change management.

• Demonstrated strategic thinking, alignment, and direction-setting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMP, Change Management Certification, and/or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.

• Scrum Master experience in addition to core project/program management experience.

• Experience working within large, enterprise-level organizations.

• Experience with eCommerce applications or projects.

• 2+ years of experience with Power BI.

Soft Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive issues and influence others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
