The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is seeking a Program Auditor II for the Office of Child Nutrition. This position is in the Child and Adult Care Food Program/Summer Food Service Division and requires frequent overnight travel. This is the entry-level of professional program auditor work. Work involves performing desk and field audits to ascertain facts regarding agency programs. Incumbents prepare reports of activities, maintain accurate records of findings, and testify in court or administrative hearings, as necessary. The work requires frequent contact with other governmental agencies, federal partners, professional associations, and the general public.
What you'll need to be successful: This position will require excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 1-4 years of experience.
