Job description

Cats deserve more than survival, they deserve a future. As our Program Director, you'll lead the team and programs that make that happen: from foster care and adoptions to community engagement, care for community cats, and transport for cats and kittens in Los Angeles.

Why this role matters: Stray Cat Alliance works to create a future where every cat is safe, healthy, and loved. This role sits at the center of that mission: connecting programs, people, and communities to drive life-saving outcomes every single day. If you want work that matters and a team that shows up for cats and each other, this is it.

Who you are:

  • An experienced animal welfare professional with demonstrable experience in program management and supervisory roles
  • A data-driven leader who knows how to read outcomes, spot trends, and make smart decisions from the numbers
  • A skilled communicator who can connect equally well with staff, volunteers, adopters, and donors
  • Knowledgeable about community cat management (TNR/RTH), animal sheltering best practices, and LA's animal welfare landscape
  • Experienced with shelter management software (Shelterluv preferred) and Google Workspace
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus, and genuinely valued

See full job description for more information about the key responsibilities and required qualifications.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in South Los Angeles.
