[job_card.job_description]Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience. 6+ years of experience with Siemens Apogee and Desigo. Must have working knowledge of HVAC systems - Unitary Systems to Central Plants. Troubleshooting skills for determining HVAC vs. computer / controller issues. General understanding of IP networks. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to read and understand blueprints Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming. (Java, C++) Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus. BACnet and / or LON, Lonworks Control Systems, Tridium NIAGARA AX / NIAGARA 4 / Distech / Eclypse, Direct Digital Controls, Honeywell Webs, MODbus, Alerton, Johnson Controls FX, Staefa, Solidyne, Andover Controls, Siemens, and Schnieder preferred
Job Description
Come join our team! We are excited to invite you to apply to our opening for an Automation Systems Programmer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated front-end graphical user interface.
- Experience in Multiple Systems integration, getting different protocols to talk to each other and share information. One front end for multiple platforms.
- Executes project start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed BAS controls and mechanical systems on assigned projects.
- Participates in the layout and coordination of network drops, IP addresses and monitoring tools with customer's IT Department personnel.
- Works with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols, encryption, and database requirements for integration to their systems.
- Runs semi-complex reports to analyze system operation, works with project team to demonstrate system operation and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work.
- Participates in final inspection and testing, assures customer acceptance, and conducts training for end user customers on system operations.
- Provides Plans & Control System Documents to application engineering for as-built drawings using the latest digital technology.
- Mentors other specialists who may need specific automation or HVAC product knowledge.
