Job Title: Web Application Programmer (Advanced)

Location: On-site 500 S. Bronough St, Tallahassee, Florida 32399
Duration: July 1, 2026 June 30, 2027
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Web Application Programmer (Advanced Level) to support enterprise-level application development within a government environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, full-stack web development, and modern development practices, along with the ability to work in structured environments such as Waterfall and Agile.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Microsoft technologies
  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business requirements
  • Implement responsive and user-friendly web interfaces
  • Perform unit testing and follow Test Driven Development (TDD) practices
  • Develop and optimize database solutions using SQL Server and Oracle
  • Participate in system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
  • Collaborate across multiple projects as a technical lead or subject matter expert
  • Ensure adherence to State IT standards, processes, and security guidelines
  • Prepare technical documentation and support validation activities
Required Qualifications
  • 4 6 years of experience in systems analysis, development, and engineering in an online/web environment
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Microsoft C# .NET and MVC framework
    • jQuery, HTML, and Responsive Design
  • Experience with:
    • Test Driven Development (TDD) and Unit Testing
    • Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases
    • Microsoft Azure cloud platform
    • Visual Studio 2012 or later
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience acting as a team lead or subject matter expert
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio)
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Experience working with State of Florida IT standards and processes
