Job Summary

Since 1972 our Torrent Resources group has been an industry leader in stormwater solutions by offering differentiated and proprietary drywell (MaxWell® Drainage Systems) designs along with superior customer service and self-performed field installations.

The Project Lead is responsible for project related administrative tasks and oversight of multiple construction projects simultaneously utilizing both hands-on and administrative techniques. This position will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the execution of projects. The Project Lead is required to balance multiple conflicting priorities while providing administrative support to the Commercial, Project Management and Field Operations teams. Also, needs to maximize time and resources that lead to increased value to our crews and the clients.

Job Location

  • This position will be on site at our Torrent Resources facility in Fontana, CA.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with operations, labor compliance, accounting, outside sales and estimator and project management teams.
  • Manage, maintain, organize, and be responsible for the contract administration process from beginning to end, ensuring that all contracts are completed accurately, and related insurance certificates are collected, reviewed, maintained, and renewed in a timely manner.
  • Negotiates terms and conditions with customers. Works with legal and risk management team as needed to mitigate rick in contract terms and conditions.
  • Facilitates credit process with customer and internally with the credit department to setup new accounts.
  • Prepares, submits, and monitors all preliminary notices.
  • Completes, submits, and maintains compliance with OCIP/CCIP enrollments.
  • Create projects, enters scope and sales orders in ERP system; track and make updates in ERP system as directed by the Project Lead.
  • Prepare and manage work orders, submittals, RFIs, safety submittals, change orders, as-builts, closeout documents.
  • Manage monthly work-in-progress, backlog, forecast as required by Project Lead.
  • Support registration and profile updates for US Government (SAMS) and other agencies and/or customers as needed for compliance.
  • Facilitates required project information to labor compliance administrator to maintain compliance.
  • Log pertinent documents from Field (ie. Daily Reports, JHA’s, Logs, Photos, Material Receivers, etc.)
  • The position supports Estimators, Sales Engineers, and project managers with various administrative and compliance tasks as needed.
  • Creates, revises and maintains forms and templates as needed.
  • Assists with mail pick-up, drop-off and distribution as needed.
  • Assists with ordering office supplies, materials.
  • Fielding and answering of phone calls from clients, vendors, and other staff.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior Project Coordinator and/or Contracts Admin experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil design drawings, and engineering production drawings.
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management
  • Must be organized, detail oriented with a positive attitude, professional demeanor and eagerness to learn.
  • Must have a sense of urgency, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service, clear and concise written and verbal communications.
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.), Adobe, Bluebeam; Salesforce and SAP experience a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience a plus.
  • Ability to obtain or have an active notary public commission is a plus.

Compensation

  • Target Salary is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00
