Lamp Rynearson: Where Runways Begin and Futures Take Flight!

At Lamp Rynearson, we don’t just design infrastructure—we help communities soar. We’re searching for a visionary General Aviation Project Manager to drive dynamic airport projects, forge lasting client relationships, and grow our aviation presence across the Midwest. From planning to permitting to public presentations, you’ll play a key role in projects that truly take flight. If you're driven by purpose, passionate about aviation, and ready to grow with a collaborative team, this is your runway.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone with the skills and passion to make a difference in general aviation. If you check the boxes below, you might be the right fit:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, aviation airport management, or transportation planning from an accredited college or university
• 5+ years of General Aviation experience required
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) licensure a plus
• Experience with FAA Advisory Circulars, Airport Improvement Program Handbook, planning, and grant applications
• Familiarity with design and specifications a plus
• Proven success in developing new clients and projects
• Strong client relationship-building skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities
• Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations

What You’ll Be Doing
Here’s how you’ll contribute:
• Grow our general aviation portfolio by developing new client relationships and projects
• Create and contribute to General Aviation Airport Master Plans and ALPs
• Prepare provable construction cost estimates
• Perform site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure contract compliance
• Travel throughout NE, IA, KS, and MO as needed (with occasional overnights)
• Collaborate with design teams on reports, permits, specifications, and estimates
• Coordinate with construction engineers and assist with change order preparation
• Support public presentations and lead "lunch and learns"
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking with Group Leader

Why Lamp Rynearson?
At Lamp Rynearson, we believe in leaving a legacy — not just through our projects, but through our people. You’ll join a supportive, employee-owned firm that invests in your growth and values your voice. If you’re looking for a place to build meaningful relationships, make an impact, and chart a course for your career, you’ve found it.

Ready to help airports soar to new heights? Apply today and be part of a team that’s engineering the future of aviation.
