This is a seconded position, meaning the selected candidate will be employed by ITAC but work full-time on assignment with one of our clients. While day-to-day responsibilities will be managed on-site with the client, ITAC provides ongoing support, resources, and benefits as your employer. This position is for an expected duration of about two (2) - three (3) years with changing demand and potential for extension. Please only apply if these requirements are agreeable to you.

Objective

We are seeking a full-time Project Engineer with a strong industrial manufacturing background to support a multi-year factory transformation initiative. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing small-to-medium capital and operational projects within an active manufacturing environment over the next 2–3 years. The ideal candidate will have experience managing industrial projects, plant layout changes, equipment installations, and cross-functional teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex factory transformation projects
  • Manage the implementation of a new plant layout / plant transformation
  • Organize project teams and assigning individual responsibilities
  • Develop project scope, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Determine resource and contracting requirements
  • Monitor and report on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards
  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget
  • Integrate vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, or any related field along with 5 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial setting, OR at least 10 years of relevant experience in managing heavy manufacturing projects if without degree
  • Relevant experience: Managing projects within a manufacturing environment or industrial setting, coordinating launches for new production equipment
  • Must be able to manage a project team in a fast paced and pressured environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications; Excel. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong industrial project background
  • Experienced in managing complex layout changes in a manufacturing plant
  • Lean Manufacturing background in a plus for this role

The typical base salary range for this position is between $130,000-$180,000
