ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, you are the engine that keeps the restaurant moving. You will be instrumental in helping to create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. This position is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people and thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to KPOT's standards.
- Assist in food preparation and ensure all ingredients are fresh and ready for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate timely service.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Manage time to ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and all dishes are ready for use.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with the front-of-house and management regarding allergy orders.
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.
- Be a team player, assisting other team members whenever needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Functions:
- Prior kitchen experience is not necessary but preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and a passion for food.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Comfortable working around grills and hot cooking surfaces.
