Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required Experience Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or related experience Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask Analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities Customer service mindset and strong interpersonal skills Basic understanding of weights, measurements, and intermediate math
Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand and sit throughout the workday Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance Frequent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments Comfortable working around machinery, pallets, and cleaning chemicals May work in temperatures ranging from approximately 38F to 60F, with occasional exposure to hot or humid conditions Moderate to loud work environment depending on production activity
Job Duties: Create and manage purchase orders for all U.S. facilities (excluding packaging supplies) Track Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and IT purchase orders Follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries Submit receiving documentation and invoices to Finance for payment Process department expense reports Serve as backup for the Purchasing Coordinator Coordinate meetings and take meeting notes Prepare and distribute emails, correspondence, reports, and other documents Maintain organized purchasing files and records Communicate with internal departments and external vendors Assist with data entry and reporting using Famous software Support Purchasing Managers with daily administrative tasks Screen incoming calls and correspondence Learn company materials and purchasing processes Process product returns and material transfers Partner with the Logistics team to ensure on-time deliveries Monitor inventory levels for logistics supplies across multiple facilities Perform other duties as assigned
