Job Description

AI Enabled Solutions Architect

About Kearney Activate

Kearney Activate is the business acceleration and enablement arm of Kearney Management Consulting, helping clients accelerate transformation through Data and AI.

Our Data & AI business line bridges strategy, technology, and execution to deliver data-driven, AI-enabled, and cloud-powered transformations. We partner with leading platforms such as Microsoft, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks and Nvidia to help organizations build trusted data foundations, deploy intelligent solutions, and scale innovation.

We operate across four key focus areas:

  • Advisory & Assurance Services: Driving strategy, governance, and change management to ensure impactful transformation.

  • Data Services: Building trusted, high-quality data foundations using Agentic AI across engineering, architecture, and governance.

  • Insights Services: Unlocking value through analytics, data science, and AI-driven storytelling for better decision-making.

  • Asset Services: Developing reusable GenAI assets, accelerators, and AI-powered solutions that push the boundaries of innovation.

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary AI-Enabled Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of next-generation, AI-native data and analytics solutions. This role is central to our transformation mission as we embed Generative AI, Agentic Intelligence, and modern data engineering into how we operate and deliver value to clients.

You will architect and guide the development of scalable, modular platforms that combine data modernization, GenAI, and intelligent automation. You’ll also lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams—developing the next generation of technical leaders who can translate emerging AI capabilities into tangible business impact. Operating at the intersection of technology, strategy, and delivery, you will bridge innovation with measurable outcomes.

Security Clearance Requirement (or ability to obtain): Secret

This position requires an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one. A Secret clearance is a U.S. government security clearance that allows access to classified national security information that could cause "serious damage" to national security if disclosed without authorization.

Key Points:

  • Issued by the federal government after a background investigation

  • Requires U.S. citizenship

  • Involves investigation into criminal history, financial records, and personal conduct

  • Must be sponsored by a government agency or cleared defense contractor

  • Requires periodic reinvestigation (typically every 10 years)

  • Clearance processing typically takes 3-6 months but can vary

Candidates must be able to meet the eligibility requirements established by the U.S. government for access to classified information at the Secret level.

Your Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Innovation

  • Architect scalable, modular data and AI platforms integrating modern data engineering with Generative and Agentic AI capabilities.

  • Design end-to-end ingestion, transformation, and classification pipelines across structured and semi-structured data sources (e.g., Excel, JSON).

  • Implement advanced RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures using intelligent chunking and multimodal retrieval techniques.

  • Embed data quality monitoring, validation, and observability frameworks for consistent reliability.

AI Enablement & Intelligent Systems

  • Develop enterprise-scale GenAI and Agentic Intelligence use cases, leveraging in-context learning and advanced prompting techniques (e.g., ReAct, Tree-of-Thoughts, Reflexion, hybrid reasoning).

  • Integrate ML models for analytical and operational applications, ensuring seamless interaction with AI pipelines.

  • Operationalize LLMOps frameworks for governance, traceability, and performance optimization.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor teams of architects, engineers, and analysts, fostering innovation and delivery excellence.

  • Work cross-functionally with consulting, business, and technology teams to align architectures to client transformation goals.

  • Champion AI and data architecture as enablers of business growth and strategic differentiation.

Enterprise Integration & Delivery

  • Design secure API architectures integrating enterprise authentication (OAuth2) and feedback loops.

  • Oversee integration with instrumentation and monitoring frameworks (e.g., Langfuse) for observability and governance.

  • Ensure solutions are designed for scalability, adaptability, and long-term client success.

Technologies & Concepts

  • Programming & APIs: PySpark, Python, FastAPI, FastMCP, SQL, OAuth2

  • GenAI & Agentic Tools: RAGAS, Langfuse, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Vector Databases (FAISS, PGVector, Weaviate, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Search)

  • AI Architectures: Retrieval-Augmented Generation, In-Context Learning, Agent Design, Function Calling, LLM Fine-Tuning & Adaptation

  • Data Engineering: Real-time ingestion pipelines, schema evolution, semi-structured workflows

  • Data Analytics & Quality: Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), advanced classification, data quality reporting

  • Enterprise Integration: API security, instrumentation, and operationalization via MLOps and LLMOps frameworks

Who you Are

  • Proven experience designing and scaling AI-enabled and data-driven architectures.

  • Strong foundation in software engineering, data architecture, and AI/ML enablement.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience building and mentoring high-performing technical teams.

  • Track record of delivering innovative, scalable solutions that drive business value.

  • Passion for applying emerging AI technologies to solve complex, real-world challenges.

Why Join Kearney Activate

  • Transformative Impact – Lead next-generation data and AI architecture projects that redefine how enterprises operate and compete.

  • Innovation at Scale – Work at the forefront of Generative and Agentic AI within an established global consulting network.

  • Learning & Growth – Access deep technical training, leadership development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration opportunities.

  • Collaborative Culture – Join a diverse, hands-on, and high-energy team that thrives on innovation and real-world impact.

  • Purposeful Work – Help global enterprises build intelligent systems that connect data, AI, and business outcomes.
