We accelerate innovation and learning, advance sales and delivery excellence with high-caliber Marketing Technology solutions including Adobe technology expertise. Our focus is 4 go-to-market solution areas: Experience and Content Management with a focus on Content Supply Chain, Digital Asset Management; Personalized Insights and Engagement with a focus on Analytics, Customer Data Platforms, and Journey Orchestration; Digital Commerce with a focus on Experience Led Commerce and Product Information Management; Marketing Operations and Workflow with a focus on resource management, reporting and approvals of the content and data required to run Personalization and Campaigns at Scale.
This position is for an individual driven by solving complex personalization, experimentation, and decisioning challenges across Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and Adobe Target to improve customer experiences. This individual will own the technical architecture and delivery of cross-channel journey orchestration, experience decisioning, and on-site experimentation at scale. They will partner with analytics, product, engineering, and business SMEs to translate hypotheses and journey requirements into measurable activities and orchestrated experiences, with strong discipline in sprint execution, QA, governance, and performance.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and own end-to-end technical delivery for personalization, experimentation, and decisioning across web and cross-channel experiences using Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and Adobe Target.
- Provide technical leadership across intake, estimation, sprint planning, dependency management, release readiness, and risk mitigation; set clear expectations on tradeoffs and timelines.
- Establish and enforce standards for naming, documentation, reusable components, QA checklists, and production governance across journeys, decisioning assets, audiences, and experiments.
- Actively communicates across delivery teams and IT partners, ensuring stakeholders are informed according to process and that decisions and outcomes are well documented.
- Architect and implement personalized journeys in Adobe Journey Optimizer, including event-driven and batch-based entry, eligibility rules, suppression logic, frequency capping, orchestration guardrails, and operational monitoring.
- Design journey and campaign operating patterns that scale, including reusable journey frameworks, message templates, standardized QA, and launch readiness checklists.
- Implement AJO Experience Decisioning to deliver personalized content and offers using governed decision assets including decision items, collections, eligibility constraints, ranking methods, placements and context, and fallback behavior.
- Define and execute QA for journey eligibility and decisioning, validating audience qualification, offer selection, fallback behavior, and measurement capture end-to-end.
- Design, build, document, and maintain reusable audiences and segments across AEP-supported segmentation and Adobe Target audiences, ensuring clear rules logic, naming standards, and ongoing governance and maintenance.
- Ensure measurement readiness by validating tagging and tracking for activities and journeys using Adobe Tags and or AEP Web SDK, confirming events fire correctly, and aligning success metrics with analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to drive high leverage for teams by applying AJO’s AI and agentic capabilities to automate and accelerate journey operations, scaling journey creation, content iteration, optimization, and operational workflows while maintaining governance and brand and compliance guardrails.
- Configure, administer, and operate Adobe Target at scale including workspaces and properties, permissions, activity lifecycle management, QA workflows, and governance.
- Build and launch A/B, MVT, Auto-Allocate, Auto-Target, Automated Personalization, and targeted personalization activities in Adobe Target; recommend the appropriate activity type based on hypothesis, traffic, and data and measurement requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; customize and enhance web pages and components to meet testing and personalization requirements with strong performance discipline.
- Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility and performance-minded delivery including flicker mitigation, render timing, and payload size.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues related to Adobe Target delivery, AEP Web SDK event capture, and front-end implementation; partner with engineering and platform teams to resolve root causes.
- Establish and apply experimentation methodology standards including hypothesis framing, KPI and guardrail definition, test design choices, test duration considerations, and common pitfalls such as seasonality, novelty effects, and peeking and SRM risks.
- Drive consistent test execution and readouts, translating learnings into backlog priorities, journey improvements, and reusable personalization patterns.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of experience in personalization, experimentation, marketing technology, digital engineering, or solution architecture roles.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Target in a medium-to-high test volume environment, including advanced activity design and delivery.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer designing, building, and operating journeys in production.
- Strong command of Adobe Experience Platform fundamentals including Real-Time Customer Profile concepts, identity and namespace considerations, segmentation patterns, and how data and events power orchestration and decisioning.
- Hands-on experience implementing and operating AJO Experience Decisioning, including decision items and offers, collections, eligibility rules, ranking approaches, placements and context, and fallback behavior.
- Deep knowledge of experimentation methodology and ability to select the appropriate Target activity type based on hypothesis, traffic, and measurement constraints; ability to partner with analytics on KPI definition and instrumentation.
- Strong experience building governed, reusable audiences and segments with an emphasis on maintainability, documentation, and naming standards.
- Experience implementing Adobe Target via AEP Web SDK and or at.js, including troubleshooting delivery issues and profile scripts.
- Experience ensuring measurement readiness and troubleshooting using AEP Web SDK and or Adobe Tags, including event validation, data layer alignment, and end-to-end QA.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, including performance-minded personalization delivery.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications:Experience building or leading an experimentation operating model including intake and prioritization, governance, QA standards, test calendar management, and consistent readout templates. Experience designing an enterprise decisioning operating model including naming conventions, versioning and lifecycle management, reusable offer templates, approval workflows, compliance guardrails, and prioritization and fallback hierarchy. Ability to partner with engineering and data teams to onboard, QA, and govern recommendation, product, or content feeds used for personalization, ensuring data quality, refresh cadence, and reliable delivery. Familiarity with Customer Journey Analytics for experimentation and journey measurement. Experience with tag management systems, data layers, and event taxonomy design. Experience aligning personalization across platforms to prevent conflicting experiences and define clear decisioning boundaries between Adobe Target and Adobe Journey Optimizer.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges:
- East Bay, San Francisco, Silicon Valley:Principal: $190,000–$232,000
- San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Seattle, Boston, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, Washington DC, Westchester:Principal: $174,000–$212,500
- All other locations:Principal: $159,500–$195,000
In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
