Distribution Support Specialist
Summary: The Distribution Support Specialist will support the area distribution department in a variety of functions including driver training, back-up driving and various administrative functions. Responsible for Regional Driver Training & Regional Distribution support.
Responsibilities:
- Safety-Related Duties: Assist the Distribution management with timely one-on-one safety communications. Assist the Distribution management with customer site surveys. Follow safe work permit processes, policies, and procedures. Understand and follow all SMP, SOP, COP, OSS, Trucking alerts and Technical Bulletins. Assist in training 3rd party drivers in Lindes QA program for self-loading including observations. Complete all LMS training modules and OJT for assigned job per assigned timeline. Act as a trainer for NESO and PPDC for initial training and refresher training. Identify monthly regional safety topic to cover in safety meeting.
- Driving-Related Duties: Deliver Driver training for site Product Training and Smith System. Assist with ride-a-logs and observations. Serve as backup in-cab Driver Trainer as needed. Serve as back-up Road Tester for prospective Drivers. Serve as a back-up driver, including to shuttle Drivers and Tractor/Trailer back to yard when Driver may be out of hours. Safely shuttle Tractor-Trailers between company locations for maintenance purposes. Load trailers with product so they are ready for drivers prior to the beginning of their tour. Trailer purging and cooling Assist when needed. Maintain communication with logistics.
Qualifications:
- CDL A with Tanker (N) and Hazmat (H) endorsements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Lift 50 pounds. Climb stairs and ladders. Be able to wear all required personal protective equipment. Intermediate computer skills O365
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 3-5 years distribution experience
