About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified Echo Tech in Falmouth, Massachusetts, 02540!

Join our team as an Echo Ultrasound Tech / Cardiac Sonographer and use your expertise to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, prepare patients for echocardiogram procedures, and produce diagnostic-quality images of the heart for cardiology interpretation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• BLS certification required and must be current.
• 1-2 years previous experience in echocardiography required. (Client requires at least 1 year; 2 years preferred.)
• Ability to perform 2-D, M-Mode, Pulse/Continuous Wave and Color Doppler studies and to acquire diagnostic-quality echocardiograms.
• Experience performing emergency studies and assisting with transesophageal echo procedures preferred.
• Experience with echo lab recordkeeping, ultrasound equipment maintenance, and QA or accreditation processes (ICAEL protocols preferred).
• Capable of writing preliminary interpretations and functioning independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Good communication skills and ability to multitask. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Facility Job Summary:

Under cardiologist supervision and following established technical standards, provide echocardiography ultrasound imaging of adult and geriatric patients for interpretation. Obtain clinical history, position patients, select imaging techniques, perform 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler and color flow studies, document findings, and assist physicians with special procedures. Maintain echo lab records, ensure equipment cleanliness and room restocking, participate in QA and accreditation activities, and complete required education and certifications.

• Participate in mandatory in-services and clinic education requirements.
• Demonstrate professional judgment, effective communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Support lab accreditation activities including quarterly reporting and QA meetings; serve as liaison for digital reporting system issues when required.
