Job description

Thank you for considering a career at Ensemble!

Ensemble is a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management solutions for health systems, including hospitals and affiliated physician groups. They offer end-to-end revenue cycle solutions as well as a comprehensive suite of point solutions to clients across the country.

Ensemble keeps communities healthy by keeping hospitals healthy. We recognize that healthcare requires a human touch, and we believe that every touch should be meaningful. This is why our people are the most important part of who we are. By empowering them to challenge the status quo, we know they will be the Purpose:

  • Customer Obsession: Consistently provide exceptional experiences for our clients, patients, and colleagues by understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations.

  • Embracing New Ideas: Continuously innovate by embracing emerging technology and fostering a culture of creativity and experimentation.

  • Striving for Excellence: Execute at a high level by demonstrating our “Best in KLAS” Ensemble Difference Principles and consistently delivering outstanding results.

The Opportunity:

The Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) is responsible for program‑level delivery flow, agile maturity, and execution health across multiple teams. This role provides oversight, facilitation, and coaching to ensure predictable delivery, effective cross‑team collaboration, and continuous improvement aligned to standards defined by the Engineering Excellence team.

The RTE does not own a specific delivery team and instead works horizontally with team leaders, product leaders, and engineering leaders to improve how work is planned, coordinated, tracked, and delivered across the Agile Release Train (ART).

Job Competencies

  • Program‑level facilitation and delivery leadership
  • Agile coaching and organizational change leadership
  • Cross‑team collaboration and dependency management
  • Data‑driven delivery optimization and transparency
  • Risk identification, mitigation, and escalation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder influence

Essential Job Functions

  • Own and improve end‑to‑end delivery flow across multiple teams, ensuring alignment to program objectives and commitments
  • Facilitate PI Planning, ART Syncs, and Inspect & Adapt events
  • Coach leaders and teams to improve agile maturity, execution consistency, and delivery predictability
  • Support organizational change by helping leaders and teams adopt new ways of working and sustain improvements
  • Improve cross‑team collaboration, dependency management, and program‑level risk mitigation
  • Partner with ART and delivery leadership to align execution, resolve risks, and improve delivery outcomes
  • Establish and maintain program‑level metrics and dashboards to provide transparency and drive continuous improvement
  • Support release readiness and coordination, enabling informed go/no‑go decisions

Employment Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in agile delivery across multiple teams or programs
  • Experience operating at a program or multi‑team level in an agile environment
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder‑influencing skills
  • Proven ability to improve delivery flow, predictability, and risk management
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), including Nooga boards, for program‑level delivery tracking
  • Aha! experience a plus
  • SAFe SPC or equivalent agile coaching certification preferred
  • This position pays between $111,800 - 192,900 based on experience
  • Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
  • This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
