Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled AS400 Developer with 6-12 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS400 platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in RPG programming, DB2, and system integration, along with a solid understanding of business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on AS400 (IBM i platform)
Write and optimize programs using RPG (RPGLE / ILE RPG / Free Format RPG)
Design and manage DB2/400 databases, including queries and stored procedures
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning
Work on system integration with external applications and APIs
Support production systems and resolve issues in a timely manner
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
Create and maintain technical documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
6-12 years of hands-on experience in AS400 development
Strong proficiency in:
RPGLE / ILE RPG / CL programming
DB2/400 (SQL, Queries, Stored Procedures)
DDS (Display, Printer, Physical, Logical files)
Experience with embedded SQL
Knowledge of AS400 system architecture and job control
Familiarity with debugging tools and performance tuning
Experience with version control tools and development lifecycle
Strong problem-solving
