Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and self-sufficient Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling multiple tasks, possess strong critical thinking skills, and be adept at patient education and communication.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical clearance and records
• Schedule appointments and procedures
• Triage patients and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Enter medical orders accurately
• Answer patient phone calls and messages
• Refill prescriptions as needed
• Educate patients on their health and procedures

Essential Skills

• Medical assisting
• Customer service
• Rooming patients
• CPR
• BLS Certification
• Certified Medical Assistant
• Ability to room 25-30 patients a day
• Prior experience in oncology
• Appointment scheduling
• Patient care

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Open to new graduates who are self-sufficient
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Candidates who perform well during the contract may have the opportunity to be offered a permanent position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
