Responsibilities:
- Processing: Manage payroll system for timely/accurate processing (salaries, hours, leave, overtime).
- Compliance & Controls: Enforce internal controls (reviews, audits, reconciliations); ensure compliance with federal/state laws (DOL, IRS, FRS, college rules) regarding wages, taxes, garnishments, deductions, and retirement.
- Expert Guidance: Serve as payroll system SME, providing support and training to employees, supervisors, and direct reports.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit all required payroll reports (tax, workers' comp, benefits).
- Systems: Collaborate on payroll system configuration, upgrades, and improvements.
- Customer Service: Resolve complex/sensitive payroll inquiries with confidentiality and high-level service.
- Serve as the liaison with Finance, IT and designated external partners for matters related to payroll.
- Reports To: Director, HR Operations

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant position software programs.

Preferred Qualifications

- FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional).
