Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the solution design and strategy for large, complex pursuits. Recommend solutions, plans, and strategies operational plans and strategies to senior and executive leadership. Oversee multiple projects or solutions. Resolve issues and challenges between competing priorities or technical disagreements.
- Lead large complex initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, which involves large cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with capture managers and business development to shape opportunities pre-RFP. Own the technical volume and integration with cost, management, and past performance sections. Facilitate and lead solution reviews with executives and SMEs.
- Collaborate with operations teams early in the capture process to ensure solutions are designed with implementation and operational considerations in mind. Facilitate and lead collaboration across departments and act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Influence others to accept and agree to new or updated practices and approaches.
- Incorporate capabilities from internal technology capabilities to drive differentiation and increase probability of wins. Leverage reusable reference architectures, demonstrations, playbooks, and artifacts from Mission Threads to accelerate implementation timelines and minimize cost.
- Define and oversee technical win themes, discriminators, and innovation differentiators.
- Improve upon existing processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation.
- Drive and define capability priorities for and utilize capabilities to create differentiated solutions that align with client needs and company strategic growth pillars. Oversee compliance with technical requirements and ensure solution feasibility.
- Develop transition plans that address operational readiness, including knowledge transfer, training, and operational handoff activities. Provide guidance and lead teams through technology transitions. Support training and adoption efforts to ensure successful implementation.
- Communicate with and present to senior leadership.
- Lead and mentor teams in solution development. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to technical employees across the company.
Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Solution Strategy & Innovation
- Lead solution design and strategy for high-priority government pursuits
- Define technical win themes and differentiators for competitive proposals
- Incorporate capabilities from Maximus Accelerators and reusable components
- Drive innovation through emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Conduct competitive analysis and develop strategies to address market trends
- Lead solution reviews with executives and subject matter experts
Technical Leadership & Business Alignment
- Design scalable, extensible solutions leveraging cutting-edge technologies
- Lead RFI, RFP, and RFQ response development including whitepaper creation
- Develop estimation models and solution pricing strategies
- Collaborate with capture managers to shape opportunities pre-RFP
- Mentor junior architects and provide technical guidance across teams
- Ensure solutions meet compliance requirements and align with customer needs
- Develop transition plans addressing operational readiness and implementation
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 12+ years of relevant professional experience required.
Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements
Technical & Business Skills
- Deep understanding of government IT landscape and compliance requirements
- Experience with estimation techniques and competitive solution development
- Expertise in one or more technology domains (cloud, cybersecurity, AI/ML, etc.)
- Knowledge of security standards, compliance frameworks, and risk management
- Experience with government proposal processes and competitive analysis
Leadership & Communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive presentation experience
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of new practices
- Ability to thrive in flexible, fast-paced environments across multiple time zones
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
- US Citizenship required for program requirements

- Master's degree preferred

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
