Job Title: Software Development EngineerJob DescriptionAs a Software Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, automating, and executing test procedures for Line Replaceable Units (LRU) and satellite subsystems. This position requires a strong focus on supporting satellite production rate targets through the creation and maintenance of Python-based test automation scripts.
Responsibilities- Develop, automate, and execute test procedures for Line Replaceable Units (LRU) and satellite subsystems to support satellite production rate targets.
- Create and maintain Python-based test automation scripts.
- Utilize NI TestStand (or similar National Instruments test frameworks/tools) for automated test development, execution, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain project plans with milestones, deliverables, and timelines. Create backlog reports of stories and issues and track them.
- Support system-level testing, validating performance of electronic sub-assemblies and full hardware components.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure test processes are production-ready and aligned with DFM/DFT principles.
- Diagnose test failures through data analysis, instrumentation, and iterative debugging.
- Support engineering teams during development phases by providing feedback on testability and integration.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in Python for test automation.
- Experience with test automation scripts and frameworks.
- Capability in writing test plans for hardware testing.
- Electronics testing experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with NI TestStand or similar National Instruments test frameworks/tools.
Work EnvironmentThis role requires working onsite in Redmond, WA. The work environment involves supporting the testing of LRUs for satellites and components, collaborating closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure production-ready processes.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
