Position Overview:

• We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the USAF Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
• This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software systems, collaborating with the team to troubleshoot issues and enhance backend services and web applications, implementing software improvements, and ensuring compliance with DoD security standards.
• The engineer will also contribute to technical documentation, support CI/CD pipelines, and maintain version control and deployment processes.

Required Technologies Programming Languages:

• C++, Python Operating Systems: Linux, Windows Version Control: Git, GitLab Web & Frameworks (optional/desired): Django, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap Databases: SQL Other: Bash scripting, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab YAML), automated testing Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Data Science, or equivalent certifications (CISSP-ISSAP, GSEC, CSSLP).
• DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (CompTIA Security+ or higher) required within 60 days of hire.

Relevant experience:

• 9+ years with a Bachelor’s, 7+ years with a Master’s, 4+ years with a PhD.
