JOB TITLE: Software Engineer

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Design and implement scalable full stack platforms supporting advanced analytics and AI-driven development.

• Build and maintain responsive user interfaces and dashboards using React, Next.js, and Shadcn UI.

• Develop and publish REST APIs and backend services for internal and third-party integrations.

• Ensure data integrity, security, archival, backup, and disaster recovery across platform environments.

• Create and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and code quality.

• Support deployments across cloud-based and air-gapped environments.

• Integrate third-party services including:

  • Email/SMS notifications

  • Learning management systems (SCORM, xAPI, CMI5)

• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Document APIs, data models, and deployment processes.

• Leverage AI tools and LLMs (e.g., Claude, generative coding assistants) to accelerate development, testing, and architectural validation.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain security clearance (preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.

• 6+ years of experience delivering full stack software solutions on complex, data-intensive programs.

• Strong experience with:

  • React / Next.js

  • Node.js

  • FastAPI

  • REST APIs

  • Relational databases & messaging services

  • GitLab (repos, merge requests, CI/CD pipelines)

• Strong understanding of:

  • Software design patterns

  • Automated testing

  • Continuous integration

  • Code quality best practices

• Experience designing responsive dashboards and user interfaces.

• Ability to work onsite/telework hybrid (<50% remote) in Orlando, FL.

• Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Advanced DevOps tools experience (Ansible, Nexus, GitLab Runner, Harbor).

• Experience with:

  • Apache Superset / Trino

  • Kubernetes

  • Cloud and air-gapped deployments

  • PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting

  • Email/SMS integrations

  • Learning standards (SCORM, xAPI, CMI5)

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and generative coding
