Control Testing Specialist

As a member of the Governance and Controls Centralized Testing team, you will actively manage risks to support all CIBC stakeholders in alignment with the Bank's Risk Culture. As a Control Testing Specialist, you will build relationships with key business partners and will be responsible for executing the annual testing plan which includes planning, scoping, and conducting full scope and targeted testing of key regulatory and operational controls in accordance with enterprise and federal requirements. You will conduct process walkthroughs in order to assess the design effectiveness of key controls, identify potential control weaknesses and root causes and impacts of deficiencies, and propose appropriate corrective action for any issues identified. You will also give feedback for the annual testing plan and recognize opportunities for enhancing the efficiency of the overall testing process.

You have a degree in finance or other business-related discipline; experience in lieu of education will be accepted.

It's an asset if you hold relevant audit, risk and/or compliance certifications (i.e. CIA, CPA, CRCM).

You possess experience in commercial banking or related field.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $110,000 - $125,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
