About Acceleration Academies

At Acceleration Academies, we partner with school districts and communities to design and operate flexible education programs that re-engage learners and support high school diploma attainment. State testing is a critical gateway to graduation, and strong testing operations are essential to ensuring that Graduate Candidates have every opportunity to demonstrate proficiency and earn their diploma. The Academy Testing Chair plays a key role in coordinating testing logistics, driving participation, and ensuring full compliance with Florida testing security and administration requirements.

Role Summary

The Academy Testing Chair is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of all site-based state testing activities, including FAST, EOC, and concordant score opportunities. This role focuses on testing logistics, student registration and participation, compliance with Florida security protocols, and the identification and preparation of Graduate Candidates who are close to meeting proficiency.

Working closely with academy leadership and instructional staff members, the Academy Testing Chair ensures every eligible Graduate Candidate is scheduled, prepared, and supported through each testing window, and that all testing administration requirements are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate all site-based testing logistics, including scheduling, room assignments, and technology preparationMaintain a testing participation tracker to monitor student completion of required assessments, including the monitoring of graduation year cohort data.Ensure all students scheduled for FAST, EOC, and concordant score opportunities are properly registeredConduct testing readiness checks before each testing windowCommunicate testing schedules and expectations to staff and studentsIdentify students who require testing interventions or additional preparationWork with instructional staff to monitor Graduate Candidates close to meeting proficiencyEnsure all testing procedures follow Florida security protocols and compliance guidelinesSubmit required testing documentation and reports accurately and on timeAssist with make-up testing and monitor students who miss scheduled assessmentsCollaborate with academy leadership to coordinate intervention strategies for students not yet meeting proficiencyRepresent the Academy in district testing coordinator meetings and communications as neededThis role is based on-site in Florida, with testing administration responsibilities during scheduled testing windowsPerforms other duties as assigned to support Graduate Candidate success and academy operationsSuccess MetricsHigh participation rates during all testing windowsAccurate completion of testing administration requirementsTimely identification and scheduling of make-up testsImproved student performance on state assessmentsReduction in missed testing opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with state testing administration, preferably in Florida (FAST, EOC, concordant score pathways)Working knowledge of Florida testing security protocols and compliance guidelinesExperience working with at-risk youth, alternative education environments, or student support servicesStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple testing windows and concurrent prioritiesComfort with data entry, participation tracking systems, and producing accurate administrative reportsDemonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with diverse learners and familiesHigh drive, personal accountability, and passion for Graduate Candidate successExceptional communication and follow-through skills
