Title: PC&IS Engineer
Location: Greensboro, NC 27409
Duration: 6months
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Description:
- Power Controls and Information Systems (PC&IS)- Responsible for development and innovation in electrical design, programming, and digitization of automated, robotic, and information systems- Lead process improvement in terms of material utilization, safety, and cost
- Own and build Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Human to Machine Interfaces (HMIs)-Lead manufacturing lines and machine controls.-Strong Leadership skills and have led teams.
- Strong Written and Verbal communication skills-Experience (or ability to learn) in power systems, computing and network technologies, machine control and instrumentation, vision systems, robotics
- Knowledge and experience in electrical safety regulations and best practices.
Technical Skills
Must Have:
- 3 or more years working in a manufacturing environment in a controls and automation discipline
- Ability to self-direct and show initiative with decision making and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, HMI development (e.g. FactorytalkView Studio, Wonderware), and PLC programming (e.g. ControlLogix) is an asset
- Familiarity with IT/Networking and database applications
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Understanding of instrumentation and measurement systems for Process Control
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Understanding of industrial environments, engineering and production processes
- Experience with industrial networks and safety standards preferred.
- Experience working with 480/277VAC 3-phase, 208/120VAC 3-phase, also 24VDC, 4-20ma, 0-5V and 0-10V control circuits.
- Must have knowledge of OSHA 1910, NFPA 70, 70E, 79 safety standards and machine design specifications
- Must have knowledge and the ability to perform tasks within industrial control software.
- Must have knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain networking platforms and industrial control software: DeviceNet, ControlNet and Remote I/O, DH+, DH485, and EthernetIP. HTML / XML, Python/Java programming with SQL programming experience would be a plus. Sign In - Workday VNDLY
