Woodbridge, VA. Hybrid 3 days onsite per week

Seeking a SQL Developer with strong experience in database management, complex SQL querying, database design, optimization, and data analysis. Experience with Oracle, SQL Developer/TOAD/SQLPlus, Python, and PostgreSQL/PSQL is required. GIS/ArcGIS and Cityworks experience is a nice-to-have, particularly in utility sector.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer with strong experience in database management, complex SQL querying, database design, optimization, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Developer, TOAD, SQLPlus, Python, and PostgreSQL/PSQL.

Experience with GIS/ArcGIS and Cityworks is a nice-to-have, particularly in utility or water/wastewater environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures, and scripts.
  • Design, build, and manage relational databases, preferably Oracle.
  • Perform data analysis, reporting, and create tabular and spatial reports.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization.
  • Support the database development lifecycle and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across projects.

Required Skills

  • Strong SQL skills and experience.
  • Experience with SQL Developer, TOAD, and SQLPlus.
  • Oracle database experience.
  • Python and PSQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Database design and optimization.
  • Complex data analysis and reporting.
  • Troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Experience with version control tools, such as GitHub.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Server.
  • Trimble Cityworks.
  • Geodatabase and SDE versioning.
  • Publishing services and sharing content to ArcGIS Online/Portal.
  • GIS data analysis and validation.
  • Experience in water/wastewater utility environments.
