The Applebee’s server will Delight our Guests by Exceeding Expectation by serving food and beverages to guests while accommodating the guests’ needs in a courteous and timely manner following Applebee’s Basic Service Steps and the Service Promise. Essential Job Functions
Primary Duties:
• Greets guests and interacts with every guest to create a friendly upbeat work environment
• Familiarize guests with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested
• Take guests orders and input them correctly in the POS using the write, repeat and review rule
• Serve food and beverages using the Applebee’s TEAM delivery system
• Pre bus table and sweep the surrounding area to keep it clean and comfortable
• Collect payment from customers in a timely manner using the QR code or POS
• Completes daily cleaning work tasks and maintains a clean and safe working environment
• Anticipate guests' needs in order to facilitate an enjoyable dining experience
Educational / Experience
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed guests’ expectations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good attitude toward teamwork
• Strong work ethic, with a willingness to take initiative
• Confident, outgoing demeanor
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop and lift up to 20 pounds
• Be of legal age to serve alcohol
Physical and Mental Requirements
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
