Join Chemtrade in Richmond, CA as our Maintenance Superintendent for Sulfuric Acid and Regen operations. You will guide a high-performing maintenance function that safeguards people, assets, and the environment while enabling production targets.
Your Mission
- Lead people and work: Set the daily maintenance plan, align with operations on priorities, and steer a capable mechanical crew and contractors.
- Elevate reliability: Drive preventive maintenance completion, own troubleshooting sessions, and convert findings into durable solutions.
- Steward resources: Control parts and materials across mechanical, instrumentation, welding, rotating equipment, pipe–valve–fittings, filters, bearings, and hoses.
- Champion safety & compliance: Enforce policies and procedures; conduct and close incident investigations; develop JSAs; meet environmental permits and regulatory standards.
- Execute with discipline: Manage budgets and schedules; prepare for outages with comprehensive hazard reviews; track KPIs and facilitate post-job critiques.
- Build capability: Implement tailored development plans and oversee training to ensure technicians possess the competencies to perform safely and effectively.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of maintenance experience.
- Experience with critical process equipment—pumps, motors, piping, valves, turbines, and heat exchangers—within chemical, refinery, power, or pulp and paper settings.
- 3+ years leading hourly maintenance personnel.
- Demonstrated involvement with safety programs in industrial facilities.
- Skill using CMMS/Work Order systems; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; SAP familiarity (purchasing and plant maintenance) is a plus.

Compensation and Classification
Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 + bonus + benefits. (salaried, exempt)
