About the Role:

  • Create and review product designs, ensuring they meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare fabrication drawings and structural calculations, product estimating, and shop drawing creation and review.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain high-quality standards for concrete products.
  • Work closely with contractors, government agency representatives, general manager, sales team, and operations manager.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in concrete production to enhance efficiency and product consistency.
  • Assist in cost analysis and value engineering to optimize product performance while managing production costs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, testing results, and design changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and sales, to address product-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensure that concrete products comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including management and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel.
  • Must have an FE. Texas PE is a plus.
  • Ability to independently manage projects, gathering all information, materials and authorizations.
  • Prior experience with precast concrete structures, state DOT projects, or water/wastewater treatment projects preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in construction or precast industry
  • Proficient in interpreting all production-related drawings
