STRUCTURAL PROJECT ENGINEER

This is an engineering-track position, responsible for : leading a team in the design of buildings, including performing engineering design for components and connections, 3D finite element modeling of components, 3D modeling of structures; performing document preparation in both CAD and BIM environments; and managing project and project team to successful completion.

Qualifications Highlight

BS in Architectural, Civil, or Structural Engineering, Masters preferred, or equivalent work- and industry-related experience (as allowed under licensure by the state of Illinois).

Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) in state of Illinois

7+yrs diverse project experience in the design of buildings w / demonstrated professional growth

Experience in precast / prestressed concrete design a plus

Prefer advanced understanding of : structural analysis / design fundamentals, 3D finite element analysis, diaphragm analysis and design, structural integrity requirements, current building and material codes, commercially-available office software (Word, Excel, Adobe / Bluebeam, etc.), 3D modeling and drafting software, engineering software such as RAM suite, Risa, TEDDS, LEC Wall, etc. or equivalent;

Demonstrated willingness to learn new engineering principles and stay abreast of code changes
