Job Title: Structural WelderJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Structural Welder with the ability to layout, fit, fabricate, and weld from engineered drawings. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG welding and the use of basic hand tools, including tape measures and digital calipers. This role requires self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Layout, fit, fabricate, and weld structural steel from engineered drawings.
- Perform MIG and stick welding on structural steel.
- Utilize power tools throughout the day.
- Collaborate with a certified crane operator to install steel beams and columns.
- Stand, crouch, and drive between job sites, primarily on construction sites.
- Follow blueprints to perform fitting and fabrication of parts.
- Execute up to 1/2 inch welds.
- Grind and prep parts for welding.
- Read a tape measure to cut parts to size.
- Use an overhead crane safely.
- Assist with shop cleaning during downtime.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in MIG welding.
- Experience with fabrication and steel fabrication.
- Ability to work from engineered drawings.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools, including tape measures and digital calipers.
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with MIG and stick welding on structural steel.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs throughout the day.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Experience using an overhead crane.
- Capability to follow blueprints and perform fitting and fabrication.
- Experience grinding and prepping parts for welding.

Work Environment
This role is primarily outdoors, working safely in all weather conditions. Expect a physical environment that includes standing, crouching, and driving between job sites. Work mainly involves construction sites for production homes, where steel beams and columns are installed. Utilize power tools and collaborate with a certified crane operator to perform your duties.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
