Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dental Assistant to join our dental practice in Lynwood, CA. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and support clinical operations to deliver high-quality dental care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before patient visits
- Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified)
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment per OSHA standards
- Take and record patient medical and dental histories
- Provide chairside support and ensure patient comfort throughout visits
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Maintain accurate patient records in the dental charting system
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
- Support front office staff as needed to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications
- Completion of a Dental Assistant program required
- Dental Assistant certification (RDA preferred, if applicable)
- X-ray certification preferred
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and assist patients for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to [X] lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
