The Program Associate for Climate Entrepreneurship at the Labs will play a critical role in supporting a suite of programs aimed at empowering emerging climate-focused ventures. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, program management expertise, and a strong commitment to advancing sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Planning and Coordination:

  • Manage an annual calendar and cadence for climate entrepreneurship programming, ensuring all key milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Manage recruitment, application vetting, participant orientation, and ensure program events happen smoothly, either by leading these efforts or collaborating with internal teams.
  • Oversee the application review process for the Climate Circle Accelerator and the "How to Create a Climate Venture" class.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate fair and efficient selection processes.

Event and Program Logistics:

  • Organize and execute events, workshops, orientations, pitch days, show cases and program-related activities, ensuring high-quality experiences for participants.
  • Manage logistics such as registrations, speaker coordination, material preparation, recordings, and follow up communications.
  • Work closely with HIL's program, operations, and communication teams to help create best practices, standard operating procedures, and utilize existing systems.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities for "How to Create a Climate Venture" Non-Credit course:

  • Help preparing registered participants, including ensuring all have access to materials, calendar invitations and virtual link access.
  • Support in class delivery, including managing class logistics, assisting with class materials, and facilitating in-class activities.
  • Facilitate the participant group chat, meet ups, and provide wayfinding for participants to leverage supplemental tools, recordings, and resources for their venture journeys.
  • Schedule with guest speakers and share their backgrounds and tools on the course platform.
  • Facilitate group office hours for participants to go deeper on relevant topics.

Data and Records Management:

  • Collect and manage program data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for reporting and evaluation purposes. Partner with HIL Technology and Data Management team to ensure that data is integrated in CRM system.
  • Utilize program management tools to track participant progress and program outcomes.
  • Keep venture resource guides and toolkits up to date with the latest climate entrepreneurship information.

Communications:

  • Work with the internal Marketing and Communications team to set up press coverage opportunities for venture teams to be featured. This includes ensuring an annual cadence that builds from key climate events, soliciting and editing information for entrepreneur profiles, and working with staff to place profiles in mainstream media.
  • Draft and distribute regular climate-focused newsletters to external stakeholders, showcasing climate venture achievements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal departments, such as marketing, operations, and IT, to execute program goals and activities. For key milestones, work backwards to identify key internal deadlines and ensure other teams are looped in with plenty of time.
  • Ensure smooth coordination across teams to achieve program objectives and address operational needs.
  • Draft and refine memos and presentations for climate-related collaborations within and with external stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Identify and address gaps in the network of climate experts by working with the Climate HIL team and the Network Engagement HIL team and other climate networks to recruit, onboard, and ensure effective utilization of these experts.
  • Respond to outreach from climate ecosystem partners such as funders, donors, accelerators, lawyers, and subject matter experts, and implement systems to track and engage these partners effectively.

  • Experience managing cohorts, programs, and events.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience.
