We are seeking a Program Manager toidentify and implement best practices across markets in the program, both with the customer and internal staff. Ensuring the maintenance of project schedules and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to handle workload and identify and implement scalability options. Assist Business Development to identify additional opportunities at the market level, and forward opportunistic sales leads to the sales team. Provide and maintain outstanding customer service by being the single point of escalation for the customer and by proving consistency in communication, reporting, and deliverables. In addition, will provide financial oversight to ensure general financial health of a project by monitoring accruals, job sheets, pricing, production, forecasting, budget, contract renewal, scope creep and change orders. Continual development of Project Managers, Project Coordinators and Administrative staff to build bench strength across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure programs deliver value and contribute to the overall business strategy.
  • Assist personnel with interpreting customer drawings, sketches, and technical specifications.
  • Establish and maintain efficient and cost-effective program organizational structures.
  • Identify and eliminate wasteful resource usage across the program.
  • Identify and develop top managers for advancement.
  • Overall responsibility and accountability for ensuring that program KPIs are met.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by communicating and meeting regularly.
  • Ensure everyone on the project management team is performing all duties described in their job descriptions.
  • Be able to forecast the upcoming program volume throughout the budget cycle.
  • Forecast future staffing requirements and skill sets.
  • Develop and implement change management plans to support program initiatives.
  • Communicate and meet with customers regularly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and measure the benefits delivered by the program. Negotiate Addendums and change orders.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalations for stale work, SLA compliance, or any issues that impact overall project performance.
  • Make sure customer reports are current and distributed as required and there are no discrepancies between their tracking and CCI tracking.
  • Ensure confidentiality of company information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in engineering management.
  • Knowledge with Rural Utilities Service (RUS) standards and other applicable regulatory requirements governing telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Familiar with staking sheet creation and plan sets for placement of telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic cable splicing techniques and equipment.
  • Knowledge in designing and building fiber optic networks.
  • Familiarity with CAD / GIS based software used in telecommunications design.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and various web-based software.
  • Strong analytical and observational skills, which demonstrate the ability to: plan projects, review and recommend technical specifications, coordinate staffing needs, communicate effectively, and manage all aspects of a project.
  • Strong skills in management, financials, data analysis, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Effectively working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Persuasive, encouraging and motivating with the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues, vendors, and customers/clients of all demographics and professional levels. Also, be able to gain credibility with them to effectively complete tasks.
  • Must be willing to learn new product lines and technologies to serve departmental needs and goals.
  • Adept at handling employee issues and confrontation effectively and promptly.
  • Highly responsible, resourceful, accurate, dependable, and self-motivated.

Shift is full-time Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST. Must be flexible and willing to work outside normal business hours as necessary.

  • Up to 25% travel may be required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
