Section 1: Position Summary

The Compliance Program Manager oversees multiple related projects, ensuring they align with business goals and deliver value through effective coordination and strategic planning.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Successfully fulfills the responsibilities of a program manager including but not limited to: Oversee and manage a set of interrelated projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and meet the overall department objectives. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers, team members, and senior management, to align project goals with business objectives Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively, and costs are controlled. Monitor and evaluate the performance of projects within the department, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery. Partner with Leadership to establish long-term goals for the department and develop strategies to achieve them, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic direction Strong leadership abilities to guide teams and inspire collaboration towards achieving program goals. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise between different stakeholders and team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and implement effective solutions. Assists with planning and coordinating project scope, schedule, launch and communication strategy, risks and mitigations, training strategy, milestones and resources needs. Creates and maintains robust project documentation and reports status, challenges, opportunities to leadership on a frequent basis Reports the progress, as well as the challenges, to stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Section 3: Experience, Skills Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience or equivalent retirement or financial services experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PC applications including SQL and MS Office products.
  • Ability to create and maintain project documents including project plan using Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business analysis experience; drafting procedures and training materials
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Disciplined work habits and attention to details; self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong research skills including gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources.
  • Working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to present in front of large audiences, i.e. town halls and senior leadership, Board of Directors, executive steering meetings etc.
  • Ability to orchestrate effective meetings.
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
