Job description

Customer-Facing Technical Program Manager

Autonomize AI is revolutionizing healthcare by streamlining knowledge workflows with AI. We reduce administrative burdens and elevate outcomes, empowering professionals to focus on what truly matters improving lives. We're growing fast and looking for bold, driven teammates to join us.

We're looking for a Customer-Facing Technical Program Manager to be the driving force behind our most strategic, large-scale AI/ML transformations. In this role, you will be the face of Autonomize AI to our executive-level customers, leading complex projects from kickoff to successful launch and expansion. Your ability to combine executive presence with deep technical knowledge will be key to your success, as you navigate large, matrixed enterprises to deliver solutions that drive real business value and ROI.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Strategic Delivery and Execution

  • Lead and own the end-to-end program roadmap for AI/ML implementations, from discovery to deployment.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and delivery, to hit aggressive go-live targets (typically 6-8 weeks).
  • Proactively manage and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and budgets in highly matrixed customer environments.
  • Identify opportunities for renewal and expansion by deeply understanding customer needs and business objectives.

Lead Customer and Executive Engagement

  • Serve as the primary technical and strategic liaison to C-suite and senior IT leaders, delivering executive-level communications, program health updates, and ROI analysis.
  • Build and maintain trust with customers through transparent status reporting and the creation of compelling dashboards and business reviews.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, capturing critical feedback to directly influence product roadmaps and competitive strategy.

Ensure Technical Excellence and Quality

  • Translate our deep technical capabilities, including APIs, data pipelines, and AI agents, into a clear and actionable implementation plan.
  • Work with customer and internal stakeholders to validate solution architecture and integration designs (e.g., FHIR, HL7, cloud-native ML services).
  • Ensure all project deliverables are compliant with key industry standards like HIPAA and SOC2 by implementing and managing metrics-driven QA processes.

Optimize and Scale Our Processes

  • Continuously refine and build our delivery frameworks and playbooks to accelerate time-to-value for customers and streamline team handoffs.
  • Develop internal documentation, best-practice guides, and training to help scale our program methodologies across the entire organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in program or project management, with at least 5 years focused on complex, customer-facing SaaS or AI deployments.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven experience working in a highly matrixed enterprise environment, preferably within the healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong, hands-on understanding of enterprise software concepts, including APIs, data exchange standards (FHIR, HL7), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and core ML/AI concepts.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional executive presence and a track record of simplifying complex technical topics for both technical and non-technical audiences. You are skilled at driving cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency with project management tools like Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project. Strong working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or a similar certification is a plus.
  • Clinical Experience: Direct experience in a clinical setting or a background working closely with healthcare professionals is a significant advantage.

What we offer:

  • A chance to make a real impact in the future of healthcare
  • Autonomy, ownership, and the ability to chart your own growth path
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • 100% employer-paid health, vision, and dental insurance
  • Retirement plans (401k), disability insurance, employee assistance programs
