About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Technical Project Manager. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to first stages of the project management for our new alpha radionuclide research facility. You will support project management activities such as maintaining the project plan, reporting progress to stakeholders, managing change control documentation, and organising meetings and workshops.
The role also involves coordinating input from subject matter experts, preparing data packs, and tracking decisions and actions. It will be supported by technical, academic, finance, and operations specialists. Key technical areas include analysing requirements, prioritising equipment and facility capabilities, engaging with regulators, and contributing to risk assessments and process development.
This role suits someone proactive and skilled in cross-team collaboration, with strong performance potentially leading to an extension beyond the initial term within a dynamic and inclusive environment.

About You

Essential Criteria:
- Significant project management experience.
- Relevant degree and/or project management qualification such as APM, PRINCE 2.
- Experience supporting the successful delivery of large-scale projects in a responsible capacity.
- Experience of content-gathering, writing, and editing for a range of audiences and coordinating and servicing committees, including progressing and tracking action points to support project objectives.
- Financial administration and management skills with the ability to understand and work with budgets and other financial information.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of the University’s organisation, governance, and procurement processes.
- Experience working with university research projects, institutes or centres of excellence and familiarity with administrative and financial systems like Pure, Oracle, and EC Portal.
- Knowledge and experience of compliance requirements relevant to the area of activity, including Information Governance
