The IT Manager ensures secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations that support research, data management and analysis, communication, collaboration, product support, and administrative functions. The IT Manager will oversee IT strategy, systems administration, cybersecurity, research computing support, and vendor management, while aligning technology initiatives with both organizations' research and operational goals.

Oregon Research Institute is an independent non-profit behavioral sciences research center dedicated to understanding human behavior and improving the quality of human life through the prevention and treatment of health, educational, and social problems. From pioneering behavioral health studies to new insights in education, healthy aging, and public health, ORI conducts evidence-based research that makes a difference in people's lives. ORI | Advancing science. Enhancing lives.

Influents Innovations specializes in the invention, development, and commercialization of evidence-based products and services for healthcare, social service, and education systems. Influents' mission is to displace digital snake oil with behavioral research-based solutions delivered through innovative technologies. Influents Innovations products and services are developed in collaboration with in-house researchers as well as scientists at universities and other research centers throughout the country ().

The employees across both organizations include nationally recognized research scientists, mental health therapists and clinicians, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, methodologists, data analysts, data managers, research assistants, digital media designers and producers, project managers, software architects, developers, and administrative staff.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • IT strategy, systems operations, networking administration, cybersecurity, and computer operational support.
  • Personnel management (direction & supervision), planning, budgeting, and facilitation of decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Ability to accept responsibility, and to show good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every qualification. Not all strong candidates will. People who identify as being from historically marginalized and/or underrepresented groups are more likely to experience imposter syndrome and doubt the strength of their candidacy. We urge you not to eliminate yourself prematurely.

We offer a collaborative, flexible, and supportive environment where contributions are rewarded and recognized. We offer an opportunity to engage in projects that use science to transform people's lives. We offer competitive, equitable wages and a full benefits package including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance; a retirement plan with a generous match; and paid vacation, holiday, and sick time.
