Main Responsibilities:

• The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following: While everyone at Luxfer owns safety, be the point person in the facility with anything related to policy, procedure and compliance aspects related to Health Safety and Environment.
• Review, maintain and improve all programs and procedures to ensure that the Company complies with OSHA and environmental regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate Luxfer Health, Safety and Environmental training, awareness and improvement program.
• This includes monthly training processes, deployment and reinforcement of behavioral safety. processes and HSE audits coupled with improvement planning.
• Prepare inspection reports, generate corrective actions.
• Storm water, Industrial User, SCAQMD; Complete applications for required permits.
• Generate and maintain monthly and yearly reports.
• Provide energy, focus and drive to continuously improve our systems and processes.
• Lead our business wide safety team.
• Maintain ISO 14001 certification.
• Work with Worker’s Compensation insurance provider to manage all claims.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & Safety Sciences (or related field) strongly preferred or extensive work experience in the HS&E field.
• Minimum 3 years working in a manufacturing facility with a focus in Environmental, Health and Safety.
• Previous experience utilizing Behavior Based Safety Principles and/or programs in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering training.
