Job description

Compliance Quality Assurance (CQA) Lead Analyst

The Compliance Quality Assurance (CQA) Lead Analyst is responsible for the administration and execution of testing activities within the Independent Risk Review and Assessment (IRRA) second line organization. Key roles and responsibilities include: partnering with WCIB Business Units (BUs) and other Risk, Compliance, and Audit Professionals to help create, implement, maintain, review, and oversee an effective risk management framework; completing projects and/or activities that confirm compliance with fiduciary/trust requirements and applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations; identifying control and process weaknesses through testing activities; partnering with BUs and Risk Management groups to recommend and influence solutions to mitigate compliance risks; and effectively communicating testing results to the Manager, including well written draft reports, and for responding to and/or escalating significant risks as appropriate. While not a people manager, the Lead Analyst is responsible for providing oversight, coaching, feedback, etc. specific to the work completed by supporting Analysts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically, more than six years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong knowledge of fiduciary principles, trust administration, discretionary investment management, and applicable fiduciary laws and regulations.
  • Experience supporting or overseeing fiduciary and investment-related businesses, including Personal Trust, Institutional Trust, Corporate Trust, Asset Management, Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), or Fund Services activities.
  • Background in legal, compliance, risk management, internal audit, regulatory oversight, or fiduciary services within a financial institution.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, compliance reviews, testing, or regulatory examinations of fiduciary and investment advisory activities.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate fiduciary, regulatory, operational, and investment-related risks, controls, and governance practices.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex regulatory and risk matters to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) and/or relevant professional certifications (trust, compliance, audit, risk management, or investment-related) preferred.

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
